New Office Adds Deep Patent Focus to the Denver Area

DALLAS – July 27, 2021 – Carstens, Allen & Gourley, LLP, a full-service intellectual property law firm based in Dallas, Texas, announces a new office in Denver, Colorado. Seasoned intellectual property attorney and Carstens, Allen & Gourley partner James Gourley, will lead the office.

Carstens & Cahoon’s Denver office will offer a range of intellectual property legal services with a critical focus on patent prosecution and litigation services.  Gourley’s practice primarily focuses on intellectual property litigation, patent prosecution and entertainment law. With a background in chemical engineering, Gourley has prosecuted and obtained patents for clients in a wide range of technology fields, including oil and gas production, advanced manufacturing, electronics accessories, computer software, food and drug chemistry, product packaging, medical devices, pet care, nuclear energy and mechanical equipment.

Gourley is joined by Brian Carpenter, who has more than thirty years of legal experience in the fields of patent litigation, commercial litigation, licensing and proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Both partners are members of the Colorado bar.
